Clean Cars & Trap Music
Happy Early 4th of July guys!
I want to share something that happened to me earlier this week. On Friday the CEO of our company asked me to lunch. Now beforehand I knew we were going to lunch, but what I didn’t know was that I would be the one asked to drive.
Now I don’t know about you, but I live out of my car. I am a woman on the go and I usually have my driving shoes (shoes that I drive home with that are not high heels) in the front seat and other randomness.
Thank goodness I have a boyfriend that cleans my car, so my car isn’t horrible- but my front seat is not set up for passengers.
By the time I knew I was driving it was too late to clean out my front seat because we were walking to the car together.
The point is when you pull up to work make sure all of the junk from your front seat are either in the trunk or the backseat.
OR
Stop leaving all of your mess in your front seat- put your front seat items in a tote bag and put that bag in the backseat or trunk before you get out to walk in your job.
Secondly, I don’t know about you, but on my 50-minute commute I can be caught listening to everything from Erykah Badu to 2 Chainz! While that is all good and fine my advice is to save one of your stations to a top 40 hits or mainstream station. You could even save one of your stations to a Jazz station.
The point is when someone has to ride with you unexpectantly you have some non offensive, mainstream, PC (politically correct) music playing. Not music about drugs, money, and language that can be offensive to females.
Your car and the music you listen to are a reflection of you, and even though your car is a personal space, when coworkers ride with you that space is no longer personal.
Now if the person riding with you is a cool work friend then leave your driving shoes, head scarf and other crap in the front seat. Keep your trap music on! But, if you have the CEO or anyone in your ride who is not a work friend then keep it classy!
Tidy up and don’t forget to
